PreK3

Religion - "I Can Smell". We will thank God for the gift of smell. We will have a sniff test and see if we can identify things just by using our noses!! We will learn to appreciate our sense of smell and discuss some things that smell good.  Pleasant-smelling things can be given as gifts. Sometimes in church we smell things that smell good.

Science - We will also use our nose to smell our yummy applesauce that we will make in class.  What else is made from apples?

Social Studies - Our enthusiastic bunch of preschoolers will welcome a new classmate, Cole Matthews!  Playing and working cooperatively, and helping others at school helps us to be Christ's light.

Language/Literacy - We will focus on letter 'A' this week with engaging songs and hand-on activities such as our Alphabet-eating Alligator and our 'A' is for Apple Pie game. YUM!

Math - Apples come in many colors, even pink! We will focus on sorting objects by a single attribute, color. By using tongs, tweezers, and even our fingers, we will be strengthening those muscles needed to hold a pencil and write!
