Mr. Mark Abbate- ART

 

Mr. Abbate is on his 24th year here at St. Joseph Catholic School and is looking forward to another great, artistic year. He graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago in 1980 with a BFA. and enjoys painting, working in clay, creating mosaics, and a lot of mediums in between. He also teaches gym to the younger grades.

 

Here are some of the projects students will being working on the beginning of the year:

 

Kindergarten through 5th grade How to draw using geometric shapes  from animals to objects.  Holiday projects in clay ,paint, cardboard                                                                                                                     

 

6,7,and 8th grades will also be working on making dragons in clay, self portraits  and abstracts
