SPEAKING OF SPEECH
My name is Carol Witte Belasco and I am very happy to be in my tenth year here at St. Joseph School. I am one of two speech/language pathologists who treat students with speech/language concerns here at St. Joseph School. The other is a speech/language pathologist from District 70.
All second grade students will have their speech sounds skills screened by the speech/language pathologist. Parents will be contacted if a student does not pass the screening and speech services here at St. Joseph School may be considered. Parents of students in other grades may request a speech screening if they have concerns regarding their child's speech sound development.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I have many years of experience working in an elementary school setting. Both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees are from Northwestern University, I am a licensed speech/language pathologist and hold a certificate of clinical competence. I live in Long Grove and have a husband who is a professor at Marquette University, a daughter who is a graduate of Marquette University, and a year old Shetland Sheepdog who keeps us all on our toes!
Communication is important to me, please feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions you may have. I look forward to partnering with you to improve your child’s speech/language skills!
